Rose 1.0

Cumilla has turned vibrant with the colors of flowers as a unique rose exhibition draws visitors of all ages from early morning. Decorated with a wide variety of roses in dazzling colors and enchanting fragrances, the event has become a gathering place for flower enthusiasts.

Organizers said the exhibition aims to encourage local flower growers and introduce people to new varieties of roses. Alongside local species, more than a hundred varieties—including Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, and English roses—are on display. Red, yellow, white, orange, purple, and even deep maroon roses have particularly captivated visitors.

Each stall offers something distinctive, attracting families who eagerly capture memorable moments through photographs. An organizer noted that the event is not limited to display alone; visitors are also receiving guidance on rose cultivation techniques, plant care, and disease management. This initiative is expected to benefit new entrepreneurs interested in floriculture. A competition for the best roses, along with prize distribution, is also part of the program.

Officials from the local agricultural department said the potential for commercial flower farming in Cumilla is growing steadily. Such initiatives are expected to increase farmers’ interest and open up new economic opportunities.

The exhibition venue remained lively throughout the day with a steady flow of visitors. Organizers expressed hope that future editions will be arranged on a larger scale, helping Cumilla gain wider recognition for rose cultivation.
