There was a time when women’s participation in higher education was relatively low. However, that picture has changed over the years. In today’s context, female students are making independent decisions about their education and careers, entering challenging professions, and establishing a strong presence in academia.
Every year, a large number of students from Bangladesh go abroad for higher education. The participation of women in this trend is increasing steadily and in many cases has reached parity with men. To support women’s education and skill development, many institutions and organizations around the world have introduced special scholarships and fellowships. Here are five of the best scholarships for women pursuing higher education abroad.
